Expand Into Power Or Contract Into Fear

Expand into power, or contract into fear.

As human beings, I think we’re constantly fluctuating between those two. And that’s ok. It’s all ok.

It’s important to remember that, though; to acknowledge it, and to accept it, lovingly and forgivingly.

We’re constantly fluctuating between, on the one hand, expanding into, and through, our own Positive Power — and by that, I mean our own positive power; NOT the controlling, fear-driven kind of “power” by others or upon others that we’re used to associating that word with.

But rather, expanding into the kind of Positive Personal Power we all have, and forget to own sometimes. Expanding into the kind of Positive Personal Power that is synonymous with, and a direct result of, expanding into and through Love — our own inward facing self-love, and consequently our outward-facing love too.

So, we’re constantly fluctuating between that on the one hand — expanding into, and through, love, connection, and positive personal power; and on the other hand — contracting into, and through, our own fear, insecurity, disconnection, and isolation.

It’s scary when we don’t know what’s going to happen. It can be even scarier to let go of the controlling power we want to have over things going the way we want them to go.

But often, those scary moments are also the times when we most need to let go and surrender; and to stay focused on the bigger picture.

Because everything is temporary. And everything can, and will, change. And also because everything works out exactly as it’s supposed to.

That’s what I have always believed, what I do believe, and what I will always believe. And I’ve learned that sometimes, to let that happen, one has to let go and surrender — something that does not come naturally to many of us (certainly not to me; I am a doer with a strong will to make things happen that way I want them to happen) — in order to let time, space, and the universe do its thing.

Because in some sense, we’re all “fumbling around in the dark, groping for the light switch.” And that’s ok. It’s all ok.

As always, and now more than ever:

Do more of what you love!
Be more of who you love!
Seize Your Passion!
